Express your Interest to Focus your Job Search

While searching for a job, your career preferences play a critical role in your decision-making process. You may want to work for a certain firm, or in a specific industry, or even in a particular role. At OneWire, we want your profile to reflect your precise interests.

Our newly redesigned candidate profile page contains two main sections: Profile and Preferences. You use the Profile tab to manage and track where you have been, from your education to work experiences. And you use the Preferences tab to manage and track where you want your career to go.

Express Interest in Firms
Indicate your preferred industry and firms right in your profile

A key component of completing your profile is setting your career preferences. When you open the Preferences tab in your profile and expand the Career Preferences section, you will be able to select your desired industry sector, which will help match you to the most relevant opportunities. You can also indicate whether you would like to work for any specific firms.

Expressing interest in firms helps give hiring managers a better idea of your career goals. But expressing interest does not automatically match you to those firms’ opportunities on OneWire – you still need to fit their search criteria.

Express Interest in Jobs
Let hiring managers know you are interested in their opportunities

You have been able to express interest in firms on OneWire for some time now. But now you can express interest in specific opportunities as well. As you browse a sampling of jobs on OneWire, you can express interest in opportunities that seem relevant and exciting to you. Any jobs you express interest in will show up in the new “Jobs I Want” box on your dashboard.

Expressing interest in opportunities lets hiring managers know more about you as a candidate – just as it does when you express interest in firms. However, you still need to fit the firm's search criteria to be matched to their open opportunities.
