Yesterday, NPR reported that Thomas College in Maine guarantees jobs for its graduates - but only those graduates who meet certain standards. The school stands by its "Guaranteed Job Placement" program, which requires students to maintain a certain GPA and land an internship at some point during their college career. If the students don't land jobs within 6 months of their graduation, the school allows them to take 2 years worth of classes free of charge - or will pay some of their school loans for them.
Sounds like a great plan, but is it scalable? Readers, do you think that other, larger universities would ever be able to implement a similar program?
