Career Planning...Well Before the Last Minute

A recent article about Career Management that I found makes it seem that parents are deeply concerned about their children's careers. This normally isn't surprising, except that in this article, the child in question is a junior in high school. This particular parent wants to ensure that the school that her child decides to attend for the next four years has a great career counseling or career planning office for its undergraduates.

While this is a new trend, it is certainly important. Career Services Office can be extremely helpful in one's job search, so making a good career office high on the list of priorities can't hurt.

This also shows that there are students out there who are seriously thinking about their future careers well before they are juniors in college looking for internships or seniors looking for full-time opportunities.

Although OneWire is a job matching site, it is also a Career Management Tool, meaning that students who want to be prepared for their careers upon graduation can begin to create their profiles whenever they feel is most appropriate. From keeping track of high school accomplishments to early relevant work experiences, students can manage the pieces necessary for a successful career.
