The nation’s unemployment rate dropped to 10 percent for November 2009, beating analyst estimates that the figure would remain at its 26-year high of 10.2 percent.

Add to that a brighter hiring forecast for 2010 – especially in the financial services industry. One Wall Street CEO went so far as to say his firm expects to go on a “hiring binge” early next year.
