Thanksgiving is around the corner. While we can't help you with buying the turkey, we can try to help lighten the holiday shopping list.

After the joy - and heartburn - that Thanksgiving brings, why spoil your time by braving the crowds on Black Friday? Our advice? Spend Friday answering our survey and brainstorming a brilliant job search tip.

Finance and Employment November 2009

OneWire is running a survey on finance professionals' employment goals and their job search processes, including use of networking tools and various other search methods that have sprung up in the current economy. We ran a similar survey in May - you can access the results here - and we want your input to help us decide whether or not the hiring and employment scenarios have changed at all for finance professionals.

Taking a survey is certainly more calming than shopping. But if you must shop next Friday, why not make your holiday purchases from the comfort of your own home? Complete our survey by midnight on Nov. 23, and you will be eligible to win a $100 Amazon.com gift card. If you don't get a chance to submit your answers by then, you'll at least have an excuse to stay in - and eat a leftover turkey sandwich.

OneWire is asking job seekers, students, and professionals to share the best job search tip that they have come across. If you submit a tip, you could be eligible to win one of three iPod Nanos!

It’s the season of giving, and time to share helpful advice with others. Share a job search tip that you think other job seekers will be most thankful for. Then, it’s OneWire’s turn to give. The three most helpful, practical, innovative, and well-written entries will receive an 8g iPod Nano. Despite the economy, electronic gifts top this year's best holiday gift lists for children and adults. All it takes is one thoughtful job search tip, and you could win a iPod, which will hopefully help you cross off a big ticket item for a member of your family - or yourself!

-This contest will run on OneWire Facebook Fan Page Discussion Board (located under the Boxes tab).
-Contestants will post their entry in a new box under the "It's the season of giving" topic.
-3 winners will be chosen based on which tips are the most helpful, practical, innovative, and well-written.
-Contest will begin 11.16.09 and will end at midnight 11.30.09.
-The winner will be chosen and announced on December 1, 2009.
-The 3 contestants with winning entries will win an 8g iPod Nano!
